DVD -> MPEG

This is the case where you want to convert a dvd to a SVCD, VCD or other format using a premiere plugin.

• rip DVD using SmartRipper or DVDx or everything you like.

I usually choose the "create file per chapter" option so that I will have the right structure on the disk and do not have to cut the final MPEG file.

• from M&M open first file, disable the Single File Output.

If you choose the Single File Output all the single VOBs will be merged in the output.

• Choose plugin, and Output Details (SVCD requires Interlaced Top First).
• Open plugin properties and check them.
• In audio choose an existing track (if track does not exist some plugins will crash).
• Choose: Dolby Digital -> Decode.
• Choose: 48 kHz -> 44.1 kHz level you want (I use UltraHigh).

All this could be done using the Quick Setup menu.

• Save destination file (encode).

DVD -> AVI

This is the case where you want to convert a dvd to an AVI or other format using installed codec.

• rip DVD using SmartRipper or DVDx or everything you like

I usually choose the "create file per chapter" option so that I will have the right structure on the disk and do not have to cut the final AVI file.

• from M&M open first file, disable the Single File Output.

If you choose the Single File Output all the single VOBs will be merged in the output.

• Choose AVI, and Output Details (SVCD requires Interlaced Top First).
• Choosing the Configure Plugin you'll access the AVI codec configuration and beSweet configuration (from version 1.1).

At this point different scenarios could be done. I usually rip all tracks (DEMUX all tracks) and choose Multiplex Audio & Video so that after the video AVI is created all audio tracks are multiplexed in the AVI.

Otherwise you choose the track and select Demux (single track) and the avi will be single track.

In version 1.1 there will be an BeSweet processing before the mux.
